The realisation of the Lisbon agenda to make the EU the most competitive and dynamic knowledge driven economy by 2010 proves to be far from straightforward. The recent attention to improve cooperation with regard to energy policy shows that policies are not only geared at creating an internal market guided by general competition law, but that national interests are important as well. At the same time, the developments in neighbouring and developing countries are posing challenges to trade relations, development cooperation and sustainable development.
ECORYS can offer support in all stages of the policy cycle. Fields in which ECORYS has ample expertise vary from innovation, competitiveness and competition policy to industry and trade, public finance management and the economics of water and energy management. |
