7 March 2007 - ECORYS Finance has recently won two major projects in respectively Turkey and Romania to provide consulting services for the development of PPP (Public Private Partnerships).

In Turkey the main objective is to establish a competent PPP unit within the public administration and to advice on the required PPP enabling environment in terms of legislation, finance and policy. The project is funded by the World Bank. In Romania the main objective is to design a municipal infrastructure fund for financing PPP projects and to strengthen the capacity of the already existing PPP unit. This project is funded by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (part of the World Bank)

ECORYS Finance is currently also advising the governments of Albania and Yemen on the institutional development and has provided similar services in the past to governments in the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium and Poland. As such ECORYS is evolving into one of the leading European consultancy firms for institutional development of PPP.
