27 January 2011 - The International Road Federation (IRF) recently launched its Environmental Policy Statement. Together with various international partners such as  the United NAtions Economic Commission  for Europe (UNECE), the International  Energy Agency (IEA), and several Ministries of Transport, the  IRF organised launch events in Geneva, Washington DC, New Delhi, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Dr. Adnan Rahman (Managing Partner, Ecorys Transport and Mobility) was invited to give a keynote address at the launch  event in Geneva. Adnan outlined the need for taking action to reduce emissions from  the road sector, and outlined policy options for governments to bring about the necessary reductions.
