ECORYS starts new company in South Africa PDF Print E-mail

14 September 2009 - PRESS RELEASE - In July 2009 ECORYS established a new company in Polokwane, South Africa under the name of ECORYS Africa. The Managing Director of ECORYS Africa is Dr Elizabeth Omoluabi.

ECORYS has chosen Polokwane, because the Limpopo region, which is located in the North of South Africa, has significant growth potential and is conveniently located for working with clients in Pretoria and Johannesburg and in three of the countries that share a border with South Africa i.e. Mozambique, Botswana and Zimbabwe. This confirms our Africa focus.

In the coming years ECORYS expects to work on a range of issues which are important for the future of the region, including population and health research, service delivery, water management, and foreign direct investment in the mining industry, agriculture and tourism development. Moreover, ECORYS Africa will offer policy research, policy monitoring and management services with a focus on leadership training and governance and local and regional economic development.
