Successful interim evaluation Youth in Action Programme PDF Print E-mail

Picture of two youths in a shopping street.28 March 2011 - Ecorys has successfully finalized the interim evaluation of the EC Youth in Action Programme. The Programme targets young people, youth organisations and youth workers. It aims at building capacities through non-formal education. The results of this evaluation can be found on DG EAC's evaluation web page. 

For this evaluation, Ecorys has interviewed relevant youth organisations and national institutions and conducted questionnaires among participating and non-participating youngsters. The evaluation shows that the Youth in Action Programme is reaching its objectives; youngsters acquire skills through non-formal education. Nevertheless, there is still room for improvement, especially in relation to the rational of the Programme. 
 
Ecorys' Andrew McCoshan and Sacha Koppert will present the evaluation results to Commissioner Ms Vassiliou on the 12th of April.
