Client: European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control
Activities: Acting in the EU institutional environment with programmes and activities entailing public spending, the ECDC is obliged to have its programmes and activities evaluated based on the Financial Regulation.  The external was necessary to support learning for the future, demonstrate accountability to stakeholders, and to meet the requirements established in the relevant Regulations. We formulated concrete recommendations regarding possible operational changes and alteration in ECDC’s legal framework. Our evaluation was based on a review of relevant documentation, web-based survey and interviews with key stakeholders and a financial and cost analysis.
