The aim of the project was to create a platform allowing for establishing co-operation between small and medium enterprises and R&D institutions, operating in the region of Mazovia. Project implementation included conducting a wide range of research activities. A survey carried out among representatives of R&D institutions and universities focused on determining the forms and scope of cooperation with SMEs undertaken so far and on defining the scientific potential of research institutions. It also allowed for identifying the stimulants of co-operation and barriers encountered by the respondents in contacts with entrepreneurs.

The main objective of the survey conducted among entrepreneurs was to collect information on their willingness and interest in cooperation with research institutes as well as the possibilities of establishing such cooperation. The project also included publishing “Co-operation of enterprises and research institutions in Mazovia. Manual for entrepreneurs. Manual for scientists”. The project ended with a conference on "Initiating co-operation of science and industry in Mazovia as a chance for the future of the region”.
