Activities: The market for pharmaceuticals is a key sector for Europe, and its performance is vital for Europe’s competitiveness.This study was undertaken to establish facts and to verify the causes of the alleged underperformance of this market. The focus of this study was on industrial competitiveness, innovation, regulatory framework and public policy, pharmaceuticals supply chain, availability and pricing of pharmaceuticals, and strategic outlook.
