IDEA Consult (an ECORYS company) manages and participates in this study on the role of science and technology for catching-economies. The objective of the study is the derive policy recommendations for the EC on how the catching-up process could be further strengthened in Europe. Besides a literature search, the study consists of a detailed analysis of 9 Member States: Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Ireland, Hungary, Poland, Portugal and Slovenia. IDEA Consult covers Greece in this analysis by looking at the economic development of Greece and its innovation policy.
