IDEA Consult (an ECORYS company) supports the City of Ghent in analyzing the composition of the current knowledge economy in Ghent and in detecting its future opportunitities. The analysis is based on a set of indicators. SWOT-analysis summarizes the conclusions. The study includes a set of recommendations on the general economic profile, the specific knowledge domains the Ghent area should focus on and the location factors and other conditions that are of importance to realise this profile. The different stakeholders are strongly involved in the course of the study.
