Ever more often, public and private parties are seeing the benefits of cooperation in land and area development. However, even if all parties start out with the best intentions, realising projects together can be quite the challenge. Prinicpals ánd practical concerns can play their part. Close collaboration should lead to financial advantages in the public domain, shared riscs, mutual input of knowledge and experience, and finally time gained. A more practical ground for cooperation is the proactive approach by private parties when it comes to acquiring land rights for intended developing locations. Public and private parties are often 'forced' to work together because of this situation.
